Whiplash

Whiplash is an acceleration and deceleration injury to the neck. It is the most common non-fatal injury from a motor vehicle accident AND it can occur at speeds as low as 5 mph!! Symptoms of pain and stiffness can occur a few hours or days post-accident and can last for several months.

Physical therapy is the main course of treatment for whiplash. After an evaluation of your cervical spine movement and limitations; a treatment program utilizing manual therapy, trigger point dry needling, and an exercise program to strengthen the muscles of the neck can help relieve or totally absolve the symptoms associated with chronic whiplash.
