Katelyn Carpenter earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017 as a member of the charter class of South College in Knoxville, TN. Prior to earning her doctorate, she received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
Katelyn’s interest in Physical Therapy began at a young age when she sustained injuries while playing sports. Since that time, her career aspirations have been to rehabilitate others through movement and education about the body.
Katelyn will be pursuing an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification through Evidence in Motion’s Orthopaedic Residency Program. This will allow her further education and mentorship, enabling her to further develop her manual and critical thinking skills.
Katelyn recently moved to Chugiak, AK with her husband and dog, Stella. They have since added another addition to their family, an energetic German Shepherd puppy, Kuno. She enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, camping and hiking, taking in everything Alaska has to offer.
